Word Search Privacy Policy
Last updated October 9, 2026
This policy explains how Word Search (“the app”), made by XIONG ZHANZHI (“we”, “us”), handles your information on iPhone, iPad, Mac. The short version: an account is optional. If you sign in with Apple, the progress, leaderboard scores and purchased gems listed below are saved on our server for that Apple Account. Coins you earn in the app stay on the device. We never sell your information.
Sign in with Apple
Signing in is optional. If you do, Apple gives us a unique identifier for that Apple Account so the same progress can be recognized on your other devices. We do not ask for your name or email address. Sign in with Apple is operated by Apple under Apple’s Privacy Policy.
Data saved on our server
After you sign in with Apple, we store the following so it is available on every device signed in with the same Apple Account:
- completed levels and other completion progress
- leaderboard scores
- gems bought with an in-app purchase
This data is linked to the Apple identifier, not to your name or email. If you are not signed in, it stays on the device and is not uploaded. Signing out does not delete the saved copy; signing in again with the same Apple Account brings it back. You can ask us to delete it from the support form.
Data stored on your device
The app stores the following on your device. It is not uploaded, even if you are signed in:
- coins earned from tasks, watching ads, daily login and daily quests
- settings such as theme, sound and difficulty
Deleting the app removes this device-only data. Coins earned from tasks, ads, daily login and daily quests cannot be restored on another device.
Purchases
In-app purchases are processed by Apple. We never receive your name, payment card or billing address. Apple gives the app a record of the transaction so it can unlock what you bought. Non-consumable purchases are restored by Apple when you use Restore Purchases with the same Apple Account. See Apple’s Privacy Policy.
Gems bought in the app are added to the Apple Account you are signed in with, so they are available on your other devices. Coins are not part of a purchase and are not restored.
Advertising
The app shows ads provided by Google AdMob. To deliver ads, limit how often you see them, measure their performance and prevent fraud, Google may collect:
- your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA), only if you allow tracking when the app asks
- IP address and approximate location derived from it
- device type, operating system, language and app version
- interactions with ads, such as views and taps, and crash information from the ads SDK
If you choose “Ask App Not to Track”, Google does not receive your advertising identifier and the ads you see are not personalized based on your activity in other apps. You can change this at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the app asks for your consent before using your data for personalized ads, using Google’s consent tool. You can change your choice from the app’s settings.
Learn how Google uses this data at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
Diagnostics
The app does not include third-party analytics. If you choose to share analytics with app developers in your device settings, Apple may send us anonymous crash reports and usage statistics that do not identify you.
How we use and share information
We use the information described here only to provide the app, keep your signed-in progress available across devices, answer support requests, show ads and keep the app secure. We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the service providers named in this policy (Apple) and Google, or when required by law.
This website and support requests
When you visit this website, our server keeps standard request logs (IP address, browser type, page requested and time) to keep the site secure and working. These logs are deleted after 14 days.
If you contact us through the support form, we receive the app, device type, app version, topic, your email address, your message, your IP address and your browser type. We use them only to answer you, to prevent spam and to improve our apps.
Support requests, including the IP address and browser type, are deleted 24 months after they are closed. You can ask us to delete yours sooner by sending a request with the topic “Privacy or data request” or by emailing xzz@vip.qq.com.
This website stores one cookie in your browser so My feedback can list requests you sent from this browser. It does not use analytics or advertising cookies.
Retention and deletion
Data stored on your device remains until you delete it in the app or delete the app. Data saved for a signed-in Apple Account remains until you ask us to delete it. Support requests are kept as described above.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, to object to or restrict its processing, and to withdraw consent. Device-only data is under your control in the app. For data we store, including signed-in progress and support requests, contact us and we will respond within 30 days. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information through support, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use encryption in transit and limit access to support data to people who need it. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
International transfers
Signed-in game data and support requests are stored on servers that may be outside your country. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.
Changes to this policy
We will post any changes on this page and update the date above. Significant changes will also be noted in the app’s release notes.
